Hi! My name is Ms. Gegg and I am SO excited to be
a Jaguar this year. More importantly, I
am thrilled to be your teacher! It’s
going to be a fun year full of learning adventures and I can’t wait to see what
the year has in store for our crew. I
want to know ALL about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about
me.
I
was born and raised here in St. Louis. I
have an older sister, Sarah, who made me an aunt in December and I’m just over
the moon about my niece, Genevieve! My
dad lives in Minnesota, which I love to visit him when time allows. My mom and the majority of my family is
scattered here around St. Louis. I have been a nanny for ten years to an amazing family who I absolutely adore
and you will hear a lot about my little “BFF’s,” Addison, 10 and Ethan, 7--they
are a special part of my life! You will
also hear a lot about my not-so-little fella, Carson, my Great Dane/Australian
Shepard mix who I adopted.
I
attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where I majored in Elementary
Education as well as Early Childhood Education—MizzouRAH! I moved back home after student teaching and
I taught at a private school for two years teaching 3rd-5th. I then moved on to Mallinckrodt Academy
teaching gifted kindergarten for the past four years. I earned my Gifted
Certification from Webster University in addition to my Master’s degree in
Education and Innovation and I’m currently working towards a Technology
Leadership EdS degree, also from Webster.
I’m looking forward to being back in fourth grade!
I pour my heart and soul into teaching and cannot wait
to watch you learn and grow this year. We
will work together as a team to reach our goals. In our classroom, student voice and choice
will be very important. I will be a
facilitator and will help you navigate your learning. We will be innovators and creators! We will reflect on our work together. Collaboration and team work will be important
parts of our classroom.
